The idea is that as a bus stop approaches the passenger will be altered (if they wish) with enough time to decide if its the stop they want and push the stop button if need be. its helpful for people who are unsure of where the stops are and allows people to drift off without missing their stop.
The alert will be GPS activated, when the bus is 50m away from its next stop a vibrating motor in the seat will alert the passenger. GPS is a good solution because it allows for interchangeability as buses sometimes change routes, or in case the routes themselves change.
The button to allow this alert to happen will be touch activated with red and green color coding for on and off, with a small graphic to inform new passengers what it is.
The button is automatically switched off via a pressure sensor in the seat when the previous passenger gets off so that people don't get caught off guard.
This concept can be used internationally in any public transport situation such as buses, trams, trains, subways etc.
